Doomed to Pale in Comparison

I write a lot. And with writing a lot comes a continuous mental cycle of considering pretty words, describing things in my head as I do them, and scribbling notes feverishly on napkins, envelops, wrapping paper and myself. One of the most important features, I believe, to a good work of writing, is a title that just takes my breath away. I find myself often overwhelmed by some that I come across; often infuriated with myself for not coming up with it before it's original author. Not even just story titles, but song titles and titles for artwork.

Welcome to Mystery (Song by Plain White T's)
Waking the Dead (Book by John Eldredge)
Her Morning Elegance (Song by Oren Lavie)
I Am A Genius of Unspeakable Evil and I Want to be Your Class President (Book by Josh Liab)
Rumors of Another World (Book by Philip Yancey)
I've Been Hopelessly Shattered But Not Broken (Photography by Lotus Carroll)

These name just a few of the more inspirational titles. Imagine, just imagine, the wonder that comes from these small windows into the other world, the world beyond our sight, our smell, our touch. Sometimes I could absolutely die just craving the other world so much, craving what is beyond my very own sight. But for the most part I live my life wishing I could come up with a wonderful title to lead people to the keyhole between the worlds.
